About Boston Medical Center Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center
The Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease was formed in 2000 when Dr. Martin H. Steinberg joined the faculty of Boston University School of Medicine as Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and the staff of Boston Medical as Attending Physician. This 'virtual' center has clinical, diagnostic and research activities.
